Wishing all you ghouls and goblins a very fun and safe Halloween!
Pumpkin Patching
My kids had their first school fieldtrip last week to Westham Island Herb Farm. The lovely employees took us on a tour of the farm, showing us the animals, testing vegetable knowledge and providing a basic overview of farm life. After a quick snack. we all headed out to their Pumpkin Patch in search of the perfect pumpkin to bring home and carve for Halloween!
Enjoy a Safe and Happy Halloween!
Family Fun
We had a small shoot yesterday, casting photos for a little boy Momo's age. Decided to take advantage of the set up and do some fun ones with Chloe in her snazzy outfit of the day...
This chick kills me with her crazy dance moves. She is so easy to photograph with her quirky personality and abundant energy.
I let her try taking photos of me. I wish I could show you what she looked like with the heavy camera in her tiny little hands, struggling to hold it up/straight/to her face. This first one was awesome. I saved her the struggle and put the camera on the tripod so she could take photos a little more easily.
She immediately assumed a very grown up and serious voice telling me "OK, one more. Go over there. *Click* Ok, come look at it... " After a few norms, she started telling and showing me what kind of silly faces to make, still in her very professional tone of voice.
I found the remote so she and I could take one together. It was only at this point that Moses ran over from his trains/Legos to have a turn pressing the button. Chloe, as you can see is not at all impressed with having to share this new "toy".
LE FIN.
Alyson + Jordan
The story of these two lovebirds, both local to Tsawwassen, falls into the category of smalltown romance. They passed one another in the hallways of highschool without exchanging half a glance. Graduation set them down their separate paths until 2007 when Jordan began working for a new company, the same company owned by Alyson's parents. As fate would have it, they met in the lunch room and exchanged their first words for the first time in years:
"What are YOU doing here...."
It took them 4 years before they started dating but the sparks did finally fly and come February will be tying the knot under the hot Caribbean sun in Cuba! As a contrast to the sandy beaches and gorgeous weather they will enjoy for their honeymoon, it was decided that a cozy Fall Session would be perfect for their engagement photos. We headed to Beach Grove Park, Jordan's old stomping grounds, for a romantic walk through the foggy forest trails.
This was such a cool session weather wise. With all the fog that has settled in over the past week and as the session took place at dusk, the variations of light were all over the place and made for some very cool mood lighting.
A pleasure working with you both xo
Bright Eyed Callum
We first met Callum and his mama Joon last December during our first year of Holiday Sessions through a mutual friend. After a bit of a rough year, we got together for a surprise session for Dad at Centennial Beach! With Fall in full effect, we got some great shots of this joyful little man playing in the bright coloured leaves!
After a fun romp through the crunchy leaves, we ventured toward the beach to capture a few more sweet moments of this perfect and oh-so-fashionable pair playing in the sand.
*love sweet love*
Thanks for another great sessions J+C!
Look forward to getting the whole family for your Holiday Session!
XOXO
